  • We are seeking a dedicated and result oriented professional for the position of Senior Advisor / Advisor in Markets Compliance in the Governance and Compliance area. The Markets Compliance team is one of two Compliance teams in Norges Bank Investment Management.

    The Role 
    The Markets Compliance team is responsible for providing advisory compliance coverage to the Norges Bank Investment Management investment and trading businesses globally, operating in both public and private markets. The main objective of the role will be to manage the markets compliance advisory support for the New York office as part of the team’s global coverage, acting as a trusted partner for the trading and investment businesses and office operations and ensuring employees follow the firm’s conduct of business rules. This entails providing input into investment decisions, advising on regulatory developments, internal conduct guidelines and applicable market rules in the Americas relevant to trading, capital markets and asset management. You will have the opportunity to oversee global frameworks related to market abuse regulations, broker reviews, the market surveillance programme and influence the further global development of the Markets Compliance team.

    What you will do 
    You will  be working on the following tasks: 
    This position requires strong collaboration with investment and trading areas, management, and other key stakeholders across the organization.
    • Forming part of the compliance advisory team to the Norges Bank Investment Management investment and trading business covering Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Securities Lending and Real Assets transactions. 
    • Managing the inside information handling framework during New York hours.
    • Advising business partners in the New York on how to manage conduct and compliance risks.
    • Performing compliance due diligence assessments of new and existing trading counterparties and conducting broker reviews.
    • Perform on-going trade monitoring using the team’s surveillance tool.
    • Conducting ad-hoc in-depth assurance reviews of certain trading or investment processes.
    • Providing advice on regulatory matters related to investments and trading in the Americas.

    What you need 
    We are looking for a candidate with one or more of the following qualifications: 
    • Bachelor/University degree or equivalent with a strong academic record. 
    • Minimum 2-5 years experience in a relevant advisory compliance role in investment banking or asset management.
    • Investment banking or asset management compliance experience involving Equity and Fixed Income, a plus.
    • Experience working with laws and regulations applicable to the Americas and EU financial markets.

    What you will do

    What you will do
    Norges Bank Investment Management is seeking dedicated, results-orientated and service minded Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join the Security Operations department within Technology and Support. We are part of Norges Bank Investment Management Technology area and have responsibility for operating and developing our technology platform.

    The main responsibility of the role is to deliver our IAM services including authentication and authorization, access requests, access provisioning, role and entitlement models and directory technologies. This position requires close collaboration with business users, system managers and service providers, and we are looking for a candidate with the ability to communicate well with non-technical end-users.

    As part of the IAM team, you will seek to continuously improve the way identities and access are provided to the business. We are looking to innovate in areas such as DevSecOps, Security Automation and using cloud native technology to improve Norges Bank Investment Management’s security posture. We appreciate experience with scripting or programming and value an engineering mindset.
     
    You will be working on the following tasks: 

    • Be a part of the IAM team and safeguard that the IAM solution meet the defined IAM architecture and IAM policies
    • Role engineering and onboarding of new applications
    • Develop automation for infrastructure deployment and configuration as code mainly in PowerShell and/or Python
    • Manage on-prem AD and Azure AD
    • Assume operational responsibility for one or more of Security Operations’ IAM systems

    The role will join the global Norges Bank Investment Management Security Operations team, and reports to Head of Security Operations. Some travel is required. The role may be subject to a compensated on-call duty during weekends and holidays, in the future.

    What you need 
    The following experience is required: 
    • Hands-on experience with Identity Governance tools such as One Identity or similar
    • Hands-on experience with Azure AD security functions as conditional access, multi-factor authentication and privileged identity management.
    • Experience with standard protocols such as Oauth, SAML, SCIM etc.
    • Knowledge from public cloud services (preferably AWS and Azure)
    • Programming skills (e.g. PowerShell or Python)

    Experience of one or several of the following is beneficial: 
    • Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably CloudFormation
    • CI/CD pipelines preferably based on Github and Azure DevOps
    • AWS Identity and Access Management framework
    • Docker or other containerization products 

    Who you are 
    We are looking for a candidate with one or more of the following qualifications: 
    • B.Sc. in Computer Science or other equivalent technical discipline, with strong academic records
    • International mindset with an eagerness to learn 
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
    • Ambition to excel and high level of integrity
