  • Senior Network Security Engineer – London

    Norges Bank Investment Management is seeking a dedicated and results oriented professional for the position of Senior Network & Security Engineer as part of Technology and Support within our Network Services team. Technology and Support is part of Operations and has responsibility for our technology platform and the daily support of systems and data loads. We are currently moving our entire datacenter infrastructure to Public Cloud while taking operational ownership of the IT estate.

    The main objective of the role is to support the Network Services Department with the transformation of the existing platform to a new software defined architecture using network automation tools.

    Network based automation is a developing field and we are looking for candidates with genuine interest in Network Programmability, NetDevOps and Infrastructure-As-Code. You will need to be self-driven and motivated to build competency to function in a supporting role with the rest of the operations team. The right candidate for this position will be motivated by this challenge and will help to develop our future ways of working.

    You will be providing support to ensure that the Network Platform and related Services are running optimally and smoothly, working closely with 1st and 2nd line operations to investigate and re mediate critical incidents. The role will include flexible shifts (no night shifts) Monday to Friday covering European and US hours. The team will move fast by cross training, performing process automation and eliminating unnecessary actions.

    The position is located in our London Offices and will report to the Head of Network Services located in London. Some travel will be required.

     

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Working collaboratively with the Network Services team to deploy, automate, maintain and operate network and cloud-based solutions and infrastructure
    • Acting as the main technical point of contact for one or more network security systems, maintaining the optimal technical platform through their lifecycle
    • Ensuring the availability, performance, scalability and security of systems: performing and automating daily operational tasks
    • Responding to and Troubleshooting incidents and problems, performing changes
    • Continuously improving deliveries by automating and streamlining operations and processes
    • Actively working to find new and improved processes, techniques and tools to enhance the business IT experience

     

    Main Qualifications:

    The successful applicant will have the following background / skills

    • University degree in Computer Science or other relevant field with strong academic records
    • Minimum five years’ experience working with Networking and Security Engineering
    • Strong experience with network automation and scripting including CLI, PowerShell, Ansible and Python
    • Strong experience with Network Function Virtualisation, Microsoft and AWS networking products
    • Experience with Windows and Linux servers and services is preferred
    • Demonstrated experience in network technologies, architecture, design & security such as
      • Network Function Virtualisation
      • MPLS, L2 (Ethernet, switching), L3 (BGP,IGP)
      • SD WAN and SDN technologies including CISCO ACI and DNA
      • CISCO Next Gen Firewalls – FirePower, FMC, and ASA with AnyConnect
      • VPN Technologies, Cisco ISE, AAA, Tacacs, Radius, IP architecture
    • 3rd party vendor/supplier management and co-ordination
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
    • Up-to-date network certifications (AWS, CCNP & CCIE preferred)
    • Proven DevOps and Agile mindset and focus

  • Credit Analyst, Industrial Sectors

    Norges Bank Investment Management is seeking a dedicated and results oriented professional for the position of Credit Analyst within our Credit department.  The Credit department is responsible for managing the Fund’s corporate bond portfolio as well as the fundamental credit analysis of issuers in the global credit markets.

    Your role will be to focus on Investment Grade non-financial corporate sectors providing solid analysis and advice.

    The position is located in New York, and some travel will be required.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Performing fundamental credit analysis of issuers within a coverage list that is focused on Investment Grade Telecom, Media, and Cable

    • Developing and preparing financial analysis and models to support investment analysis and recommendations, both fundamental and relative value

    • Preparing written investment cases as well as regular company and industry level updates

    • Working closely with Portfolio Managers to contribute to portfolio decisions

    • Performing industry analysis and cultivate expertise in specific industries

    • Participating in analysis of new issues and corporate actions

    • Meeting with company management teams

    • Communicating regularly with external counterparts at rating agencies and investment dealers

    • Contributing to a hardworking, high-performing team with a focus on results and collaboration

    Main Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree or equivalent with strong academic records
    • Minimum five years of experience in credit analysis within non-financials corporates from asset management, investment banking, rating agency or similar institution

  • Summer Internship – Sustainability

    The Corporate Governance Area is seeking a dedicated summer intern in its Sustainability team. The team contributes to maximising the long-term value of Norges Bank Investment Management’s equity investments through sustainability analysis of and engagement with our investee companies.

    The successful candidate will work closely with a Senior Analyst in the team to gather primary data and assess company tax policies and disclosure in accordance with NBIM’s expectation document on tax and transparency. The role also includes analysis of other sustainability disclosures, in particular on climate change and human rights. The latter work is in relation to Norges Bank Investment Management’s model for assessing companies’ sustainability performance. You will collaborate with the team Head and take an active part in the team’s general work. The internship is an opportunity to contribute to and learn from engagements with companies on sustainability matters; within a financial motivation. It is also an opportunity to gain expertise and knowledge of tax governance, tax risk management and tax reporting. Quantitatively inclined individuals with a topical interest and economics, finance or law background are encouraged to apply.
