“Climate risk is financial risk. Our long-term returns depend on how the global economy manages physical climate risk and the energy transition. The global economy cannot outrun climate change, so neither can our investments,” says Nicolai Tangen, CEO of Norges Bank Investment Management.

The 2030 plan builds on the fund’s 2025 Climate action plan and sets out five key priorities to support an orderly transition to net zero emissions by 2050:

“We will continue to support and challenge our portfolio companies to decarbonise their operations and business models,” says Carine Smith Ihenacho, Chief Governance and Compliance Officer.

The plan reinforces the fund’s commitment to transparency, financial value creation, and responsible ownership.
