At 10:00 CET: The Ministry of Finance has asked Norges Bank to analyse various aspects of investing in unlisted equities and consider whether such investments should be included in the fund's mandate. Chair of the Executive Board Ida Wolden Bache, CEO of Norges Bank Investment Management Nicolai Tangen, and Deputy CEO of Norges Bank Investment Management Trond Grande will present the key points of the advice from the Executive Board. At 08:30 CET: We launched our Climate action plan one year ago. Our ambition is that the companies we invest in achieve net zero emission by 2050 through credible emission reduction targets and transition plans. At 15:00 CET: The Ministry of Finance has asked Norges Bank to give advice on whether the Government Pension Fund Global should be allowed to invest in private equity. To shed light on this question, we are hosting a seminar about private equity. The conference will take place at Bankplassen 2 in Oslo. It will also be live-streamed on our website.

At 16:30 CET: We present our view on responsible development and use of AI. On 3 January 2018, one of the EU’s most ambitious packages of financial reforms will come into force. The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive, known as MiFID II, reaches across the financial services industry, and will bring about critical changes to market structure and the trading landscape. Asset managers not only need to be prepared for new reporting and research payment requirements, but also adapt their trading strategies to increasing transparency and evolving liquidity considerations.

With the deadline for MiFID II fast approaching, we will examine the new trading landscape from a market structure and implementation perspective.

They can have practical application as building blocks when designing investment strategy, in risk management and in performance evaluation.
