Stephen Hirsch has previously worked 12 years at the fund. He joined the fund in 1998 as Senior Portfolio Manager. He then took the responsibility as Chief Operating Officer of Equities and Deputy Head of Equities and later Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO of the fund in 2008.

"We are very happy to welcome Steve back to the fund. He brings with him the right leadership qualities combined with unique skills and a very deep understanding of the fund", says Yngve Slyngstad, CEO in Norges Bank Investment Management.
