Fixed income
The fund shall invest 35–40 percent of its assets in fixed-income securities. It shall have 60 percent of these investments in Europe, 35 percent in the Americas, Africa and Middle East and 5 percent in Asia and Oceania.
Fixed-income investments accounted for 44.1 percent of the fund's investments at the end of the third quarter of 2011 and had a market value of 1,346 billion kroner. The investments returned 3.7 percent, measured in international currency. The result matched the return on the fund's fixed-income benchmark index.
